Skin Perfecting 8% AHA Gel is a completely non-abrasive, leave-on exfoliant that gently and naturally helps shed built-up layers of dead skin, just like your skin did when you were younger. This unique formula revitalizes skin’s surface, creates noticeable radiance, smooths the appearance of wrinkles, and makes your skin look and feel remarkably soft. With ongoing use, it can help promote firmer-looking skin.
This exfoliant has an optimal pH range of 3.5–3.9.
All Paula’s Choice products are 100% fragrance free, clinically proven to be non-irritating, and never tested on animals.
Combines the exfoliating benefits of glycolic acid with a sheer weightless gel formula that provides long-lasting hydration and dramatically improves the smoothness of skin. It also contains skin-soothing plant extracts and antioxidants. You’ll experience a more even, brighter skin tone and a feeling of firmness.
Apply once or twice daily after cleansing and toning. Apply a dime-sized amount over the entire face, avoiding direct contact with eyes and lips. Do not rinse. For daytime, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater.
Sun Protection Advice When Using Any AHA Exfoliant: This product contains 8% glycolic acid, an ingredient that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and the possibility of sunburn. Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater every day. When outdoors, wear protective clothing whenever possible, seek shade, and avoid prolonged sun exposure.

Have been using it for 2 years. Love the lightweight formulation and does not leave behind a sticky feeling.

I used to use that black bottle of BHA,
but it might not be suitable for my skin,
because my skin isn’t oily.
After using it, I experienced some peeling.
So now I’m using AHA instead.
At first, it felt a bit stingy,
so now I wait until my face is a bit dry
before applying the AHA.
That way, it doesn’t sting as much.
But around the sides of my nose, it still stings a little.
Since it’s summer and my skin gets oilier,
exfoliating is still ideal.
I noticed some clogged pores,
which reminded me of my AHA.
Hopefully it’s not too late.

A gentle product that didn't cause issues to my skin. Used together with the discolouration corrector, I seem to see improvement in my sun- damaged skin.

I have used it for about 2 weeks and have not seen any difference on my skin. I am giving it a few more weeks to see if this is affective.
